##About
Hi — I'm Franco. I went to Berkeley for Computer Science and Political Science, mostly because I couldn't pick one. This site is where I keep the work and writing I want to be public, away from the LinkedIn-shaped corner of the internet.
I'm most interested in the seam between software and public systems: how engineering choices quietly become political ones, how tools shape institutions, and how the open-source ecosystem keeps something resembling a commons alive on the internet.
No ads, no affiliate links, no tracking, no analytics, no sponsored posts, no paywall, no "subscribe to read." Free and easy access to information is the foundation of every open-source project I've learned from, and this is my small contribution back.
##What I'm working on
- -digging into the politics of spyware and who gets to point it at whom
- -side projects at the awkward seam of automation and language models
- -writing — slowly, on purpose, for the version of me that exists in five years
